 Ailie Busby was born in London and grew up in Corby, Northamptonshire. She studied graphic design at Nene College, illustration at East Anglia Polytechnic in Cambridge and printmaking at Chelsea and Westminster College. Ailie's wonderfully observant eye and her sense of humour bring great charm and fun to her illustrations. She has previously been published by Orion, Egmont and Scholastic and titles include Hey, Diddle Diddle, Rosie's Zoo and Christmas is Coming, as well as the successful large format nursery rhyme book, Time for a Rhyme. She lives in Newcastle with her husband and two young children. |

 Born in 1932, Quentin Blake has been drawing ever since he can remember and has always made his living as an illustrator. He has also taught, and for ten years was Head of the Illustration department at the Royal College of Art. Quentin Blake is Britain's leading illustrator, and was chosen as the first Children's Laureate in 1999.
