Gudrun Pausewang
Gudrun Pausewang was born in 1928, and had to flee Hitler's Germany at the age of 17. She has been a teacher and head mistress in Germany, and also in Chile and Venezuela, where she lived for many years. She is a celebrated author in Germany, having written over 70 children's books, many of which have been translated into other languages, and she is the winner of several literature prizes.

Synopsis
