Jane has married Bingley.
Elizabeth has married Darcy.

Six months after Pride and Prejudice, Kitty is flitting between the estates of Lizzie and Jane, searching for a suitable husband at every ball and dinner, while Mary is stuck at home with her parents. So, when a job is offered that will take Mary to far away India, she jumps at the chance for independence and to evade her parents’ attempts to marry her off.

Meanwhile, Kitty’s disappointment at having to return home and look after Mrs Bennet is tempered by the news that new tenants have come to Netherfield Park – handsome poet Mr Whittaker with his mother and niece.
