To celebrate our 40th anniversary at Andersen Press, we wanted to say thank you to the wonderful libraries that have always supported us.
To celebrate our 40th anniversary at Andersen Press, we wanted to say thank you to the wonderful libraries that have always supported us. We teamed up with CILIP and The Reading Agency to launch a competition to give five libraries the chance to win £1,500 worth of books and Elmer the Elephant furniture for their library.
Launched on National Libraries Day, we asked libraries to get creative about children’s books and share a photo that represents 40 years of children’s books.
What better day to announce the five winning libraries than on the inaugural Elmer Day! We are delighted to announce that Atherstone Library, Dundee Children’s Library, Exeter Library, Wigston Magna Library and Wrexham Library are the winners of the #40BookYears library competition.
The winning entries were chosen for the creativity with which they approached the brief; each library chose to represent the last 40 years of children’s books in truly original ways, from crafty creations to sharing nostalgic photographs!
