Andersen Authors at Cheltenham Festival

Cheltenham Festival is one of the biggest and long-standing book festivals in the world and this year is as bustling with fantastic authors as ever.

 Last Saturday Andersen Press proudly sent Jason Wallace, the Costa award-winning author of Out of Shadows to appear on a panel with bestselling author, Patrick Ness and Guardian children’s editor, Julia Eccleshare to discuss their writing in a room packed to the rafters with enthusiastic teenagers and adults. It was a fascinating discussion which sparked off a number of thoughtful questions, and a couple of more abstract ones too!

Sunday saw the return of the wonderful sheep-making shenanigans with Mei Matsuoka! The Queens Hotel was teeming with excited kids (and parents!) all busily making sheep to take home with them. Afterwards, one lucky boy called Jack was presented with a fabulous Great Sheep Shenanigans t.shirt for guessing the number of sheep featured in the book – baaaaaa!!
