We are thrilled to announce that on Tuesday 1 July, BIRDIE by J.P. Rose won the 8-11 years category of the Historical Association’s Young Quills Award.
The Young Quills Historical Fiction competition is held annually, both to recognise good historical fiction writing and to encourage young readers to develop a love of history and a feel for the period they are studying. Previous winning Andersen Press titles include We Played with Fire by Catherine Barter and Cane Warriors by Alex Wheatle.
